Affordable Photo Studio in Camberwell

Welcome to Arch Photo Studio, a flexible space based in a railway arch off Camberwell Road in south London. We’re about a mile south of Elephant & Castle. A 7m x 4m space has been set up for photography and videography, running workshops or temporary exhibitions.

My aim is to provide a basic affordable south London studio hire space for photographers, creatives, small business owners to shoot still / video with their own cameras & lighting kits. We also have lighting that is included the rental price.

  • The studio is only suitable for strobe or continuous light photography as there is no natural light. Overhead strip lights are LED’s so there is no flickering during video work. Clients can use the lighting equipment listed below which is included in the hire fee. This is my own studio which I’m slowly kitting out so it’s not fully equipped just yet. This is reflected in my pricing.
  • For video work we have 3 x GVM LED units and 2 x Godox SL60W LED spotlight with a Bowens mount that can take the Octobox, Beauty Dish or Reflector modifiers. There are also a couple of older fluorescent systems.
  • Please note the studio isn’t soundproofed and its a railway arch so there is train noise on a regular basis. Its not suitable for shooting long sequences.
  • For still photography we have 1 x Godox AD600, 1 x Godox AD400, Pro + 3 x Godox AD200 Pro with Nikon, Canon & Sony triggers.

There is a white MDF stage and back wall that objects can be attached to. We have white backdrop paper as well platinum / charcoal grey options available as standard. Tabletop supports and sheet materials for smaller product photography setups. The arch is also a workshop so we have a range of tools and equipment that can be used for set building.
